One Copy Song is a single embedded within a Facebook app, creating a truly unique listening experience. Swedish rapper Adam Tensta
INSIGHT
In today's world, with music streaming services like Spotify, YouTube, and soundcloud readily available, it can be easy to take music for granted. With millions of songs at our fingertips, the thrill of discovering and experiencing new music has become somewhat diluted.
There was a time when discovering new music meant waiting for an album release, standing in line to buy a copy, and savoring that first listen from beginning to end.
IDEA / INNOVATION
To bring back the excitement and anticipation of discovering new music, rapper Adam Tensta took a bold and unconventional approach to releasing his latest single. Rather than distributing it through traditional channels or making it widely available online, he released a single copy of the song locked within a social media platform. Listeners could join a queue to hear it, listen to it once, and then pass it on to the next person in line.
Those eager to hear the song sooner could move up the queue by helping spread the word, sharing the project and promoting Adam Tensta's music across social media. In doing so, fans became an active part of the project's distribution and promotion.
The platform was built as a white-label solution, allowing other artists to create similar one-of-a-kind listening experiences for their own audiences.
