Polaroid Eyewear manufactures polarized sunglasses and polarized lenses, as well as optical frames, reading glasses, and clip-on lenses. Polaroid is an American company best known for its instant film and cameras. The company was founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land, to exploit the use of its Polaroid polarizing polymer.

BRAND OPPORTUNITY
When you mention the Polaroid brand most people think of the instant cameras. And many people are surprised that Polaroid also makes glasses. But it all hangs together. We just needed to tell that story.

CAMPAIGN IDEA
We decide to tell the Polaroid story from the very beginning. How the founder Edwin Land invented the polarized lens. And how that was the starting point that would turn in to product innovations for the Armed Forces, including a device that determined an aircraft's elevation above the horizon, an infrared night viewing device, goggles, lenses, color filters for periscopes, range finders, polarized sheets to be used for the elimination of automobile headlight glare, cameras and sunglasses.
